- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I visited Dentique before making an appointment for tooth cleaning and an exam. I have dental insurance with Humana with my Medicare Advantage plan. The office is new and clean and I made an appointment. The first thing they did when I arrived was to take lots of x-rays and photos of all my teeth. Then a person came in and was introduced as " Ms. Singh, the dentist." She examined my gums which she said were satisfactory but never physically examined my teeth. ( every dentist I have ever visited used a tool and scraped and pushed on suspect spots looking for decay soft spots ) She then proceeded to only look at the X-rays of my teeth ( I still have all my teeth except for 3 wisdom teeth that were removed 50 years ago ) and found some reason to recommend about $15,000.00 worth of work. When I said that I was not interested in that ( I will get a 2nd opinion as I believe her recommendation to be bogus ) they said that they would not do the cleaning my insurance covers but said I needed a more elaborate cleaning procedure that cost $160.00 extra. After that I excused myself and on the way out was asked to pay a $5.00 "toxic waste fee" that is specifically to be included with "procedures." I have been going to a dentist since I was 7 years old ( 70 years ) and have never had such a disappointing experience. This is not a normal dental office but just a money machine for the owner. Unless you have a strong character and can say no, ( thankfully I do ) stay away from this place.August 16, 2017by Harrison McDonald PE
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I don't understand how anyone can give this Dentist a bad review. Dr. Angelov and her staff are super friendly. A beautiful office with all the latest equipment. They are thorough and Dr. Angelov is caring and does not suggest work which does not need to be done, unlike some Dentists I have gone to in the past. Their fees are very fair.
